The brief was the evening aarti as a household keeps it, so we built a small domed haveli-shrine for Shrinathji behind a vermillion curtain and gathered a family of four before a tiered stand of diyas, each holding a lamp-tray. We added the one touch that makes it Pushtimarg rather than generic puja: a white cow led in from the side to share the darshan, since at Nathdwara the cattle are part of the household devotion. The lamps stay as flat-yellow points, never glowing, in keeping with the flat-cloth discipline, and the cream ground gives the scene a soft dusk light. The lotus pond and peacocks below close the courtyard with the temple's water and the season's birds.
