The brief was the ghar ka mandir, the family's own dressed Thakurji shrine, treated with the same care as a temple darshan: the carved wooden home-shrine centred under its domed canopy, the small dressed Krishna icon glowing in a green recess, and the daily offerings laid out plainly before it. Pushtimarg homes keep a dressed Thakurji and serve him through the day exactly as the haveli serves Shrinathji, so this domestic shrine IS the tradition in miniature. We kept the offerings — lotus, silver butter-pot, tiny silver cow, lamp, kheer — as flat folk shapes rather than rendered still-life, and the deep maroon ground gives the little icon a quiet glow. The cloth itself becomes the pichhwai behind a household deity. Faux-gold on the canopy and offerings is flat vivid yellow throughout.
