DESIGN BRIEF: vertical-axis symmetry for sacred chauk with peacock (Mor) — not forest-scatter, not horizontal harvest band, not tarpa concentric dance ring. Mor chauk in Vikramgad ritual grammar places the peacock as beauty-and-grace witness atop the decorated chauk square — related to but distinct from lagnacha chauk with Palghat Devi fertility goddess at marriage centre. Vertical-axis was the layout fix: peacock climbs centre-column like a totem while flanking dancers and sun register hold classical ritual framing. What we refused: tarpa spiral, multicolor peacock fills, perspective depth, tourist postcard peacock realism. What we kept legible: teardrop feather eyes in fanned tail, chauk square diamond lattice, kalash pots with leaf sprouts at corners, dance figures with feather plumes, radiating sun above, ground triangle border with central tassel. Light density (~44% fill) preserves ochre sanctity around the chauk — empty vertical space is ritual breath.
