The brief was to honour Cuttack's tarakasi, the centuries-old silver-filigree craft, by setting it against Pattachitra and letting the two delicate traditions echo each other. So the silver peacocks and the little filigree boat are drawn in fine conch-white linework that imitates the hair-thin wires of tarakasi itself, while the two artisans sit mirrored in profile at a central bench like figures in a classical panel, each lit by a hanging lamp. We added a lower study band — finished peacocks flanking a filigree boat, spools and scissors — the way a chitrakar might lay out a sampler, so the print teaches the craft as it depicts it. The geru ground stays warm and the figures stay flat: a working silver bench given the order of the temple line.
