The brief was Saraswati as a devotional icon, and the medium-light density does the work that an AI would usually fill with clutter: one dominant green-bodied goddess on a white lotus, the ochre ground left open around her. She plays a long veena across her body while her other hands hold the palm-leaf book of knowledge and the rosary of disciplined practice — music, learning and meditation in a single readable pose. The green body is the murals' guna code for the serene, sattvic divine, exactly the register of the goddess of wisdom. Her two vahanas anchor the lower corners in a quiet twin-flank mirror — the peacock to the left, the white hamsa swan to the right, the swan said to separate truth from falsehood as it sips. A fanned red prabhavali arch with a kirtimukha crest rises behind her under a pillared canopy, framing the figure without crowding it.

  • Natural-oak frame on a warm-white wall keeps the white lotus and swan clean and the ochre ground warm
  • Hang in a study or above a child's study desk where the goddess of learning belongs
  • Pairs with mohiniyattam-recital or lakshmi-gajalakshmi from the same collection
  • Sits well beside dakshinamurthy or krishna-venugopala for a serene green-deity wall
  • Avoid a strong green wall — it flattens the goddess's green body
