The brief was to catch the overloaded river ferry that still links Odisha's riverside villages and to make the boat belong to patta grammar rather than float on it. So the ferry became a flat geru hull with a striped awning, the passengers stacked in tight profile rows the way figures crowd a classical scene, and the cargo on the roof — baskets, a bicycle, a bundle — drawn as flat readable motifs that tell you it is a working crossing. We built the river from rows of conch-white wave scrolls and gave the sky a big haritala folk sun with two birds, lifting motifs straight from the classical vocabulary so the everyday scene stays rooted in the tradition. The lotus band along the bottom is the quiet classical signature. It is daily river travel given the order and warmth of the temple line.
