DESIGN BRIEF: the brief was a wedding ikon that reads as a celebration without losing its ritual centre. We chose ritual-ikon-frame symmetry so a peaked canopy pins the bride-and-groom pair on the vertical axis as the still couple, and let the joined dance rows circle them hand-to-hand the way a Saura wedding actually surrounds the marrying pair. The fill runs a touch denser here — a wedding is a crowd — but we kept the fish-net open and airy and let the deep-maroon ground show between rows so the couple stays legible. We refused faces, refused colour, refused perspective depth; a tree of life rises above the canopy, an elephant and a horse-rider flank it, and peacocks close the corners the way real Lanjia Saura festival panels carry their auspicious motifs in the Rayagada hills.
