Caught mid-reach — blue Krishna with one hand in the butter and Yashoda already turning, the oldest argument in Vrindavan.

The brief was to hold the single best second of the makhan-chor story: not the theft, not the scolding, but the reach — Krishna stretched toward the hanging pot while Yashoda's hand comes up. Central-deity composition keeps the blue child as the unmistakable hero, large and low at the picture's heart, with the hanging pot pulling the eye up-left and the broken pot below telling you how the last one ended. We kept the calves flat and few so the cream ground stays open and the reach reads instantly. It is classic Raghurajpur Krishna iconography, drawn calm enough to read from across a room.

  • Natural-oak frame on cream or warm-white walls keeps the indigo Krishna true
  • Hang at eye level in a puja nook or child's room where the reach reads instantly
  • Pairs with venugopala-cows and krishna-kaliya-daman for a Krishna-leela trio
  • Keep clear of strong blue wall paint that would flatten the indigo figure
