DESIGN BRIEF: chauk-central symmetry for lagnacha wedding ritual — not harvest chauk with grain bundles, not devchauk with protective spirit icons, and absolutely not a tarpa musician imported from a dance-night catalog row. Marriage chauk is Jawhar grammar at its most sacred: the human-invented square must dominate the vertical axis so the eye reads invoked geometry before individual wedding guests. What we refused: concentric tarpa dance ring, horizontal market band, perspective depth on the toran arch, and tourist mash-ups that stack sun-moon-hut-spiral around a tiny chauk. What we built: zigzag tooth border on the sacred square, inner diamond lattice, kalash pot at nucleus, star symbols at corners signalling auspicious points, toran arch bridging the top register, ritual stick figures flanking the square, kneeling pole holders anchoring lower sides, garland pair and bird altar at bottom. Light-mid density keeps ochre breath between border teeth and corner trees — empty ground is ritual silence.
