DESIGN BRIEF: the brief was to make a crowd read as one continuous body of motion, so the dancers join hand-to-hand in long serpentine rows that weave left and right across the maroon, the flute-player and dhuli-drummers setting the pulse at the head of the line. We held the fill to medium and kept the fish-net frame bold and open rather than a merged mesh, with clear maroon space between the rows so the chain stays legible and the bent knees and raised arms carry the rhythm without melting together. The rounded faceless bodies are pure Lanjia Saura — never Warli's joined triangles — and there is no perspective depth, just dancing rows stacking up the panel. The dhuli-dindi dance threads a whole Sora village into a single line at festival time; the working hamlet at the foot — the leaf-shed, the water-lift, the cattle, even a bicycle — keeps the celebration anchored in an ordinary day.

  • Natural-oak frame warms the maroon ground on cream or limewashed walls; black sharpens the white line in a darker room
  • Hang at eye level so the serpentine dance rows read across the panel
  • Pairs with karaja-dance-circle and harvest-dance-rows for a communal-dance trio from the same Saura run
  • Set beside flute-drum-players for a music-and-dance pairing
  • Keep adjacent decor muted earth tones so the monochrome white line stays dominant
