The brief was Shrinathji as the cowherd God, the cow at the heart of the picture rather than at its edge: one frontal blue deity on a lotus, ringed by white cows all turned toward him in mirrored rows. We held the central-deity-icon symmetry so the darshan stays direct, then let the cows do the devotion — three to each side, bell-collared, leaning in. The cow is the heart of Pushtimarg vatsalya and go-seva, and a Shrinathji-with-cows pichwai puts that love at the centre of the cloth. The deep maroon ground gives the blue body and yellow halo a quiet, glowing presence; the marigold festoon and tulsi mark a dressed darshan. Faux-gold on the halo and festoon is flat vivid yellow throughout.

  • Natural-oak or black frame on cream or pale walls makes the deep maroon ground and blue deity glow
  • Hang at eye level above a shrine shelf or console as a centred devotional feature
  • Pairs with shrinathji-darshan-central and shrinathji-lotus-throne for a Shrinathji darshan trio
  • Avoid a dark wall behind it — the maroon ground wants a contrasting cream backdrop
  • Set beside gopashtami-cow-shringar or vatsalya-calf-cow for a cow-devotion grouping
