The brief was to paint Ganapati as the calm, auspicious presence he is invoked as at every beginning, so the composition holds one dominant red-bodied deity seated frontal on a lotus, four arms reading clearly because nothing crowds them: the modaka he loves, the axe and noose that cut and bind obstacles, and the abhaya hand that says fear not. The flame prabhavali frames the head, and his mouse vahana sits at the base, small but unmissable. We kept the density medium-light, with two flanking attendants in anjali and the warm cream-ochre ground left open, so the eye lands on the elephant face and trunk first. The red body reads as the warm, energised auspicious register Ganapati is loved in across Kerala homes and temple thresholds.
