The brief centred the act of offering rather than the icon alone: the goddess holds the upper field under her temple canopy, but the heart of the composition is the ground-level rite below her, where two devotees kneel and raise smoking dhuno pots flanking a central fire-stand, the smoke drawn as thin rising lines toward her. Keeping the lower offering symmetrical lets the eye read the ritual instantly. The Vaghri (Devipujak) community of Ahmedabad, long kept from temple sanctums, painted the Mother onto cloth to carry their shrine with them; dhuno incense and coconut are offered to invite her presence, so this scene is the moment the cloth-shrine is woken. Deep-maroon red, iron-rust black, undyed cream: nothing else, because the limited natural-dye triad is the entire discipline.
