The Mela Pithora Print — a village fair with a giant wheel, carousel and stalls, tractor and bus among the crowd · contemporary × Pithora fusion · collector A2

The giant wheel turns over the whole village fair — and somehow it sits on the wall as comfortably as the horses that carry the gods.

DESIGN BRIEF: a fairground is a crowd subject, and the collection's medium-light spacing is its opposite, so the challenge was a busy mela that still breathes. We anchored it with a single large ferris wheel — spokes and seat-baskets as flat outlined shapes with little riders — and set a swing-boat and a carousel beside it, all drawn as folk structures, not engineering. Stalls, a balloon seller, a green tractor and a yellow bus carry the same flat line, and the crowd stays a set of readable individuals on open cream rather than a packed mass. Among the Rathwa of Chhota Udepur the seasonal fair (the gher and the mela) is the high point of the village calendar; giving its rides the same treatment as the deity horses above is the fusion's joy — the fair belongs to the sacred wall too.

  • Natural-oak frame on cream or warm-white walls keeps the fairground bright and warm
  • Hang in a family or play space where the giant wheel invites a long look
  • Pairs with weekly-haat-market and school-cricket-match for an everyday-village fusion trio
  • Stack beside rathwa-chul-fire-leap so the festival-energy theme carries across frames
  • Black frame echoes the confident outline when the room has dark wood
