We briefed Vari Harvest as a two-register field strip because that is exactly how Cheriyal narrated agrarian life: a sequence stacked vertically, the plough above and the harvest below, read top-to-bottom like the farming year itself. The top strip holds the wet work — bullocks, plough, a lone tree, a bird — while the bottom strip carries the human rhythm of women transplanting at the left and pounding grain at the right, the baskets of chrome-yellow rice between them as the payoff. We kept the fill medium so the open red ground breathes between the bands and the leaf-green paddy reads clean against it, the Nakashi way of letting flat colour do the season's work. The floral divider between the registers is the form's own punctuation.
