The brief was horizontal-band modern-ritual fusion — how Mumbai apartment Diwali reads when LED strings replace garlands but rangoli chauk geometry stays sacred, not tourist mandala multicolor. Horizontal-band puts LED dot bulbs across upper register like rain-cloud arcs, with chauk square and diya row in mid-register and hut line anchoring village memory below. What we refused: tarpa spiral with dancers, multicolor rangoli pigment fill, photoreal LED product packaging, and perspective depth on balcony rail. What we kept legible: evenly spaced dot bulbs on cord line, diya triangles with flame dot accents, chauk square with interior hatch (lagnacha grammar), hut squares along baseline. Light density (~45% fill) preserves festival air without poster clutter.
