We briefed this as a Khovar wedding-procession frieze built around the mandar, the two-headed drum that leads a Jharkhand baraat. A single left-moving band was the honest way to carry it — drummers and a dancer in front, the groom on his horse under a held parasol behind — the way a mural moves a crowd in one register rather than scattering it. We kept the figures few and the comb-line clean so the drums, the parasol and the horse read the wedding at a glance, with a small goat trotting along to keep it a real village morning. The flowering tree and peacocks above and the deer-and-lotus base do the framing a Khovar wall always gives its scene.
