Jaguar XJR-14 Poster — 1991 24 Hours of Le Mans Endurance Racing Wall Art · framed A2

Silk Cut purple splitting a white nose at number three — the XJR-14 earns rank-ten heritage treatment because Ross Brawn's Group C aero formula made Jaguar the 1991 World Sportscar champion, and the XJR-14's bubble canopy silhouette still reads as the bridge between Tom Walkinshaw's Silk Cut era and the prototype logic that later returned Jaguar to La Sarthe.

Rank 10 documents the Jaguar XJR-14 — the Tom Walkinshaw Racing Group C prototype designed by Ross Brawn and Tony Southgate around a Ford-Cosworth HB V8, built to exploit the 3.5-litre formula that replaced the fuel-restricted Group C turbos after 1990. Dressed in Silk Cut's white-and-purple identity with number 3 roundels, Castrol and Dunlop sponsor geometry, and gold wheels, the car dominated the 1991 World Sportscar Championship with Teo Fabi and Davy Jones while a separate XJR-12 programme handled Le Mans that June. The XJR-14 never raced at La Sarthe in 1991 — the plate treats it as an endurance icon carved into circuit history by championship pedigree rather than a single 24-hour result. Its low nose, wide rear wing, and bubble canopy became the visual template for Jaguar sports-prototype identity until the XJ220 and later LMP programmes. Churn-collector layout renders the Silk Cut hero, purple sidebar, and Sarthe legend copy exactly as the master PNG dictates.

  • Black frame on cream or deep purple walls — Silk Cut livery and stippled illustration stay true without overpowering neutral upholstery
  • Pair with Jaguar XJR-9 or Mazda 787B Le Mans prints at matching A2 for 1988–1991 endurance-prototype grid
  • Hang above a credenza at eye level; the three-quarter front view and purple sidebar read best with half a metre stand-off
  • Natural-oak frame suits study walls where white parchment echoes wood tones beside motorsport bookshelves
  • Stack A3 beside Porsche 956 for Group C–era Porsche–Jaguar rivalry without competing purple fields
  • Avoid competing purple decor directly beside the Silk Cut skirts if you want white body tones to stay accurate
