We briefed Gussadi as a procession-row because the dance is a moving line, not a circle — Raj Gond men cross the village in step at Dandari — and Cheriyal's festival-strip layout carries the march cleanly. The design problem was the ash-smeared bodies: flatten them grey and they go ghostly, so we held them in ash-grey-white inside bold black outline so they read as ceremonially painted rather than drained of colour. The towering peacock-feather crowns repeat across the top like leaf-green fans and give the row its beat, while a single white-clad dappu drummer at the right anchors the rhythm. The fill is kept light so the red ground breathes between the dancers and the feathers stay legible.
