Rank 90 documents the North American F-86F Sabre — the swept-wing fighter that dominated MiG Alley over the Yalu River and became the most-produced Western jet fighter of the Cold War. Powered by the General Electric J47 turbojet and armed with six .50-calibre Browning machine guns, the F-86F's leading-edge slats and all-flying tail gave USAF pilots the edge against MiG-15s flown by Soviet and Chinese aviators in 1952–53.
