We briefed Bengal's central devotional image with restraint, letting the boneless brush carry the drama instead of clutter: ten-armed Durga frontal and radiant, her weapons fanned across every hand, the spear already driven into Mahishasura. A centred-frontal stack keeps her the unmistakable axis while the golden lion lunges left and the grey buffalo-demon falls to the lower-right, sword still raised in vain. We gave her the brick-red sari, blue blouse and tiered crown the patuas used for the goddess, kept the demon ash-grey to read against her warmth, and left the corners plain so the composite mass of arms and weapons reads cleanly.
