The brief was to make a famously rough event read as a ritual mandala: the Bagwal at Devidhura, where two groups pelt each other across the temple ground until the priest calls a stop. We arranged the two sides as one radial ring of shield-bearers around the central Varahi shrine, and turned the flying volley into arcing showers of rice-paste dots curving over the flag — the throw abstracted into pattern, the violence resolved into symmetry. The medium-light fill keeps the centre shrine legible and lets the geru ground carry the open sky the throws curve through. The whole point of the rite is balance — two sides, one goddess, a measured end — and the radial diagram says that better than a literal crowd would. White biswar on geru, nothing else.
